iPhone Screen Repair with Genuine Apple Parts — iOS Verified
The real Apple screen, fitted properly, with iOS confirming authenticity in Settings via the green "Genuine Apple part" checkmark. Available for iPhone 12 and newer at our Banks workshop.
What "genuine Apple" actually means
A genuine Apple part is a part supplied by Apple, with Apple's own identification chip, manufactured in Apple's supply chain. When fitted to your iPhone, iOS reads the chip and confirms it as genuine. In Settings → General → About → Parts and Service History, you'll see a green checkmark next to the repaired part with the message "This is a genuine Apple part."
That's Apple's own verification system saying yes, this is the real thing. Not an aftermarket OLED with a reprogrammed chip. Not a refurbished screen sold as new. The actual Apple factory part.
Why it matters
If you've paid for a genuine Apple screen, you should be able to verify you actually got one. iOS makes that easy — but only if the part really is genuine.
Shops that fit aftermarket screens and charge you genuine Apple prices get away with it because most customers never check Settings. We encourage every genuine Apple customer to look. The verification is the proof.
Beyond the verification, a genuine Apple screen means:
- No iOS "unknown part" warning — the notice that sits in Settings after any aftermarket repair.
- Full True Tone support — automatic colour temperature adjustment, which is often broken or limited on aftermarket screens.
- Identical colour accuracy and brightness — indistinguishable from the screen your iPhone left the factory with.
- Future Apple service eligibility — genuine repairs preserve Apple's standard repair coverage on the rest of the device.
Where we get genuine Apple parts
We source genuine Apple parts through established major distributors who deal directly in Apple-supplied components, and where possible direct from Apple. Every genuine screen we fit carries Apple's identification chip — which is why iOS recognises and verifies it as authentic once the repair is complete.
Stocking genuine parts isn't something every independent shop bothers with — the cost is significantly higher than aftermarket, and the margin is tighter. We do it because a meaningful number of customers specifically want the real thing, and we want to be the shop locally that can actually deliver it with the iOS verification to prove it.
Which iPhones qualify
- iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max
- iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max
- iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max
- iPhone 17, 17 Plus, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max
For iPhone 8 through iPhone 11 Pro Max, Apple doesn't sell new genuine replacement screens anymore. On those models the choice is LCD copy or premium aftermarket OLED. If you specifically want a genuine Apple display on an older iPhone, we can sometimes source one used from a donor handset — ask us when you book and we'll check availability.
A recent genuine iPhone 17 Pro repair
A recent customer from Formby drove over with a cracked iPhone 17 Pro. We fitted a new genuine Apple screen while he waited 30 minutes in the car. He checked Settings before leaving — "This is a genuine Apple part" with the green checkmark. He drove home with a phone indistinguishable from the day he bought it.
That's the job. That's why we do genuine Apple, and that's why we recommend customers verify it themselves in Settings.
How to book
Because genuine Apple screens cost significantly more than aftermarket options, we don't keep every iPhone generation in stock at all times. Send us a message or call with your exact model — we'll confirm whether we have the genuine screen for your iPhone in stock, or order it for next-day delivery and book you for the day after.
