iPads are a different problem to iPhones. Apple genuinely treats them as sealed units — most authorised channels will quote "not economic to repair" or simply replace the entire device. Independent shops can be just as quick to refuse, especially on the trickier jobs: USB-C ports that need micro-soldering, swollen batteries on older Pros, digitiser-only replacements without smashing the LCD underneath. We do all of the above.
Tarleton residents are welcome to drive 12 minutes down for a quote on a job another shop has waved off. From Tarleton centre take the A565 south through Mere Brow towards Banks. Gravel Lane is signed off the main road well before you hit Southport.

Yes. Apple treats iPads as sealed units, so any board-level work gets quoted as "replace the device". We do component-level repair: the USB-C port is desoldered from the logic board with hot air, the new port is micro-soldered into place under a microscope. It takes a few hours, not minutes, but it costs a fraction of a replacement iPad.
Cracked glass / digitiser jobs are typically same-day if the part's in stock — drop off in the morning, pick up later. iPads need longer cure time on the adhesive than iPhones (which is why we use Tesa tape and 3M primer), so wait-in-car isn't usually realistic on iPad screens.
Roughly the same either way — Tarleton centre to the Banks workshop is 12 minutes via the A565 through Mere Brow. From the Tarleton-Hesketh Bank end you might shave a couple of minutes off; from Tarleton-towards-Rufford you might add one. All within a quarter of an hour.
Send us a message or call with your exact iPad model — including the year and storage if you can find it (under Settings > General > About). iPad parts are more model-specific than iPhone parts and we don't stock every variant. If the part's in, you come over the same day. If not, parts usually arrive next morning and we book you for the day after. Saves a wasted trip.
